The new website is on the way...
With a brand new website on the way, your retiring website editor has been a bit slow recently with updates, for which I apologise. You will have access soon to club news via the new website, Facebook and Twitter, but some complications have delayed their full introduction, and so I have made possibly my last update here with some great news - see below.

MSCA Champion Driver - Garren Harrell
The MSCA Trophy Picnic was held in a beautiful park setting in Mount Barker on Sunday 28th Feb, and a small group of members gathered for a picnic lunch. Hopes weren't all that high for too much success this year, maybe a class win, and Garren Harrell rewarded us with one of them.
Then, completely out of left field, the most prestigious award of the competition, the most successful driver across all classes, the MSCA Champion Driver of 2015 - Garren Harrell. We shouldn't have been surprised - Garren has excelled for years at not only driving brilliantly, but preparing the car himself and smiling through thick and thin. With hindsight, he could have done it with one arm tied behind his back!

Anygivenreason Burger Meet V
Burger Meet V has now been and gone, and if you didn't go you missed an absolute treat. Hundreds of all kinds of cars, great weather, wonderful venue, and the wait for a burger was, if not short, at least manageable this time!

November 2015 breakfast run
We all agreed that Peter Taylor would not want us to stop enjoying our cars and the roads through the lovely Adelaide Hills, so we set off on a great drive to Meadows to try out a new cafe - Mawson House.
A record 34 people turned out, and all the cars wore black bands to show our respect for Peter. But there was still a measure of joviality in the group, as Peter would certainly have wished, and Mawson House Cafe proved to be quite a revelation.

Week away in Victoria
It was with much anticipation (and preparation!) that an intrepid group of 18 set off on a warm Saturday morning for our trip to The Grampians and The Great Ocean Road - a 500, Ritmo and a gaggle of X1/9s.
We travelled through some nice south eastern rural areas, but the Grampians were beckoning - and how spectacular they were, both for driving and sight seeing.
The Great Ocean Road was next stop, and didn't disappoint. Returning through Nelson and Robe was also a pleasant drive, before the long haul home up the Coorong road. Click on the pic at right to step through the photos.

Monthly Meetings
Next Meeting 8pm on Tues Mar 9th
And then Tues Apr 12th

The FLCCSA holds it's meetings at the Elephant and Castle Hotel 179 West Terrace Adelaide. Why not come a bit early, and enjoy a meal and a drink beforehand.
Meetings are held at 8pm on the second Tuesday of every month. All are welcome!
The Annual General meeting is held immediately after the November general meeting in each year.

Regular Breakfast Run
Every first Sunday of each month, rain or shine, turn up at the Burnside Town Hall carpark on Portrush Rd (near Cnr Greenhill Rd) at 8am. We will go for a run through the hills followed by breakfast somewhere, where we can all talk the truth in varying degrees over as many coffees as it takes.
There may be two or twenty of us, but we'll go somewhere anyway.
Whilst this is primarily for our members, anyone who drives and has an interest in Italian cars (particularly Fiats and Lancias!) is welcome.
We want to have a spirited, but enjoyable and safe drive - no budding F1 aspirants please.
If drifting, burnouts and cop baiting are your thing, you are definitely not welcome here.

FLCCSA club member David Collier and his family have for a long time been identified with their beautiful Fiat 2300 sedan, turning up at all sorts of club (and other) events. Well, Dave is looking to step up a little higher still, and has taken on the rather daunting task of restoring a 2300 S Coupe, which was found to be a little worse for wear than first expected.
Check out the blog, for the full story (and a few diversions along the way) by clicking on the 2300 S at right.

FLCCSA club member Andrew Coles writes a highly regarded and very popular blog, about all things automotive, and a smattering of everything else as well. Andrew's writing and photography are both excellent, and you never know what will turn up next. Check out anygivenreason.com - you won't be disappointed.
